Your 10 sessions can be scheduled in 1 or 2 hour sessions per week. One hour per week is recommended.

Voice Acting & Private Film/TV/Commercial Training
Private, 8 week classes, 1 hour each week either in person or via ZOOM.

Tuition must be paid in advance. There are 4 ways to pay:

**There are no refunds. Missed appointments can be made up but you must complete classes within 20 consecutive weeks.**

Private VOICE ACTING

Tuition $700 10 weeks, 1 hour per week & 3 hr. Marketing Seminar on a Saturday or Sunday, 1:00-4:00 pm
Classes are scheduled at mutually agreed upon dates and times. Your 10 weeks must be completed within 16 consecutive weeks (4 months) from the first day of class. Tuition must be paid in advance and is non-refundable.

Your work will be recorded in-person or during our ZOOM class for review. You will also receive regular emails with info about other training resources, links and other useful information related to the Voice Acting business and free recording software to download for practicing between our sessions. You are encouraged to send me those practice recordings for my critique by email. While we are in session, all recording equipment and copy will be provided. All you need to bring is a bottle of water to cool your chords! The focus of the class is on voice over technique and execution. Each week, you'll learn the wide variety of voice over styles/genre that are most commonly employed in this region.

You are encouraged to practice and record yourself between sessions and send your practice work to Jean for feedback by email. This means you are ALWAYS training.

Jean Zarzour does not guarantee that students will be able to earn a living as a voice over artist after taking these classes. Jean Zarzour will offer all of her advice and knowledge about the proper skills and best practices necessary to launch a voice over career. Hand outs will be emailed to you. All research of potential employers, marketing and other efforts to obtain employment as a voice over artist is the sole responsibility of the student.

The focus of the one day Marketing Seminar is on the tools, techniques, best practices and resources for marketing your brand in the voice over industry, and other performance industries like stage, film and television. Private coaching students are welcome to attend the Marketing Seminar 1 time whenever they are scheduled. A seminar will be scheduled at a date and time to accommodate all private coaching students so that you are all present to share the experience. Jean Zarzour is a freelance actor and, as such, may be presented with work that conflicts with schedule sessions. An alternate date and time will be arranged that is convenient for you both. Also, you can reschedule at another time when you have conflicts.

Once you are trained to the point that you do not have to be reminded to apply all of the technique you've learned, then and only then will you be encouraged to produce a voice over demo(s). Doing so any earlier will be a waste of your time and money.

Private TV/FILM & COMMERCIAL ACTING

About the Craft and What to Expect from Training
Film, TV & Commercial acting differs from any other genre of acting, in every way. It is a more intimate style of acting as opposed to stage acting, which is performed on a broader scale for a live audience, or voice acting, where your interpretation has to provide the entire "theater of the mind" setting for the listener. On-Camera acting, film acting in particular, is "realistic" and can sometimes feel as though you aren't doing anything, but that is far from the case. What happens behind and in your eyes can make the difference between a great or forgettable performance!

In this 8 Week Class you'll learn the following:
1. Audition wardrobe, cold read technique, memorizing technique, important industry terminology, best practices and how to prepare for an audition the moment you have the "sides".
2. What your "type" is and how to market that type
3. What should go on your resume when you have little to no experience
4. The appropriate head shots for your age and type
5. How to Slate - the appropriate way to state your name, agency and height for an audition on camera
6. How to make specific choices when auditioning for a commercial, film or TV project with real scripts provided by the instructor which include:
     a. Scenes
     b. Monologue delivery
     c. Commercials
     d. Cold Reads (when you don't have the time to "warm up" or make early choices before an audition)
7. How to bring a unique but "castable" delivery to the audition, making it your own
8. What to wear, say, and how to behave at a 1st round audition or CALL BACK
9. How to get representation from a Talent Agency if you don't yet have one and what you should expect from them
10. All about Union Membership and other Business Of The Business details to grow your career
On-Camera Acting Instruction is taught with real scripts from TV, Film and Commercials projects. You will come away with a coached, self-taped monologue that can be posted on any websites to showcase yourself.

MARKETING SEMINARS
are scheduled 2 times per year and are attended in person or on ZOOM with all of my private students to attend together.
They are held from 1 pm - 4:00 pm on either Saturday or Sunday afternoons.

Self-Taped Auditions

I am your coach, reader, videographer, editor and have delivered hundreds of actors auditions since 1989! Yes, we self taped way back then and sent our tapes overnight via FedEx. It was expensive!
